Anesthesia

The day of the procedure

During the first stage of the operation, the surgeon will remove the fat from the donor site using a non-traumatic micro-cannula.
The fat is centrifuged in order to isolate the adipocytes.
The fat is then reinjected into your face through 1 mm micro-incisions, using micro-cannula. This allows an increase in volume and a re-tensioning of the tissues.
The duration of the procedure depends on the quantity of fat to be reinjected and the number of locations to be treated. It can vary from 30 minutes to 2 hours.
After the procedure
The afternath of facial lipofilling is not very painful.
As a general rule, an oedema appears during the 48 hours following the intervention. It will generally take 5 to 15 days to be completely resorbed.
Ecchymoses appear in the first hours at the level of reinjection zones. They resorb within 10 to 20 days after the intervention.
If the visibility of the bruises bothers you, you can count on a few days of social downtime. But if it does not bother you, you can resume social activities after 3 days.
Sun exposure should be avoided during the first month to prevent skin pigmentation.
Results
The result is appreciable after a period of three to six months. if the indication has been correctly set, the result is generally very satisfactory.
Even if the technique is perfectly executed, there will be a decrease of about 20 to 40% between the amount of fat removed and the amount that will actually be grafted in the end because some of it will inevitably reabsorb.
