Anesthesia
The breast lift is performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia with deep sedation.

The day of the procedure
Your surgeon will adapt his operating strategy according to your particular case in order to obtain the best possible result.
The surgeon makes an areolar or vertical incision to remove the excess skin, then reposition the areola and nipple. When the ptosis is important, it is sometimes necessary to resort to an incision in the shape of an inverted “T” which will be partially hidden in the submammary fold. It will then pull up the mammary gland and redrape the skin around it.
The intervention generally lasts between 2h and 2h30, or even more if it is associated with the installation of breast prostheses.
After the procedure
It is a painless procedure. Superficial bruises disappear in two or three weeks. Silicone dressings will protect the scars for a period of 3 to 4 months, in order to improve their quality.
The scars gradually fade and will have practically disappeared after about a year and a half. A medical bra should be worn during the first month.
Numbness in the nipples disappears after a few months. Lymphatic drainage sessions by Endermologie® are highly recommended to accelerate the resorption of edema and optimize healing.
Results
The results are immediate, however it is necessary to wait a few months for the final results.
The apparition of edema and bruising is usual; they tend to disappear quickly. If breast prostheses are used, it is necessary to follow the specific advice.
The breast will acquire its final shape after about 3 months or 6 months to a year if combined with prostheses. Breastfeeding remains possible after the operation.
