Objectives of Botox®
Botulinum toxin, better known as Botox®, is an injection product that reduces wrinkles and fine lines at rest, without preventing muscle contraction: results are therefore judged primarily on the appearance of wrinkles at rest.

The aim of botulinum toxin injection treatment is not to freeze the face, as is sometimes said, but to rest it and rejuvenate your look. You’ll retain a natural facial expression, while reducing the excess tone of facial muscles responsible for expression lines.

Details of a Botox® session
A Botox® injection session is very quick. In most indications, 15 minutes are sufficient.
A personalized diagnosis is made at the first appointment, and a treatment plan is proposed.
The treatment starts with a disinfection of the treatment area.
Botulinum toxin is injected using very fine needles, guaranteeing greater precision and a virtually painless procedure for the patient. An excellent knowledge of anatomy is essential to inject the toxin in a targeted manner and to obtain the desired effect.
The patient can return home right after the session.
Aftermath
The patient can immediately resume his activities. Hematomas or redness, if present, remain temporary.
During the two hours following the injections, it is recommended that you do not lie down and avoid intensive sports.
Facial manipulation or massage should also be avoided for 24 hours after the session.
Any extreme hot environment like sauna or hammam should be avoided during the first 48 hours, as well as sun exposure.
Results
Usually, the effects of the treatment are visible within 72 hours . The final result takes between 7 and 14 days.
The treatment lasts between 4 and 6 months . Two injections a year are then suggested to maintain the beauty of the results, and you should also wait at least 3 months between each Botox® session to avoid the production of antibodies by the body.
Botulinum toxin treatment must be considered and managed over time: it is therefore recommended to treat gradually to avoid the risk of a fixed face during the first session.
Sometimes it is better tokeep it moderate at first, even if it means adding more product later on. It may take several sessions to achieve the desired result.
There are no side effects or contraindications apart from pregnancy, breastfeeding and certain autoimmune diseases. Adverse effects such as eyelid ptosis or raised eyebrows can be corrected with a touch-up injection.
A follow-up consultation is always scheduled after 15 days to evaluate the result and complete the treatment if necessary. This follow up appointment as well as possible supplements are included in the initial treatment fee.
