Dr. Laurent Smeets trained in plastic surgery in Belgium, where he obtained his specialist title and the European EBOPRAS qualification in 2012. He then practiced in various institutions that are among the most renowned internationally, between England (Queen Victoria Hospital in London), Australia (Royal Melbourne Hospital) and Switzerland.

With a solid experience gained from the best specialists worldwide, Dr. Smeets masters the latest and most innovative surgical techniques. Author of numerous scientific publications, he is also an expert in breast surgery, in particular post-cancer micro-surgical breast reconstruction (diep-flap).

Dr. Laurent Smeets also practices post-bariatric surgery and aesthetic body surgeries (bodycontouring, liposuction, abdominoplasty, thigh and arm plasties, etc.). He exercises his art with the highest level of requirement, by mobilizing his qualities of listening and empathy to best identify the requests of his patients and offer them a result that meets their expectations.

In 2010, while completing his training, Dr. Laurent Smeets completed a fellowship with Dr. Pfulg, plastic surgeon and founder of Laclinic. Eleven years later, it is the return to the sources of the student who joins his master to perpetuate the spirit of perfection and requirement that they share.

Passionate about trekking and landscapes, Dr. Smeets devotes his free time to photography, the piano and sliding sports (skiing and kitesurfing).
