Who is Coolsculpting® for?
The medical treatment of cryolipolysis by Coolsculpting® is intended for women and men over the age of 18, who are not overweight, and who have one or more localized fatty areas that are resistantto diet and exercise.

The fatty areas that can be treated by Coolsculpting are:

Course of a Coolsculpting® session
At first, a diagnosis is established with the doctor in order to rule out any contraindications and to check that the areas to be treated do not present any lesions or scars.
Details of the procedure
A typical session lasts between one and several hours depending on the number of areas to be treated and the amount of fat to be eliminated.
The specialist places a pad of gel to protect the skin, then applies an applicator combining the effects of suction and cold to the area to be treated.
Applicators come in a variety of shapes and sizes to fit the natural contours of the body and treat large areas in one go.
The treatment is painless. The patient feels pinching and intense cold at the begining of the treatment, but the cold quickly acts as a natural anesthetic. During the treatment it is possible to rest, read or listen to music.
Aftermath
You can resume your regular activities immediately after the Coolsculpting® session.
In the days following the session, the appearance of a slight edema and, more rarely, bruises area are possible on the treated, but they will disappear quickly.
It is strongly advised to ensure that you are well hydrated by drinking at least 1 liter of water per day. This will help to stimulate the natural process of eliminating fat cells destroyed by the effect of the cold.
Exposure to the sun, UV rays, hammam, sauna or jacuzzi sessions are prohibited for 2 weeks.
Results
The results of a Coolsculpting® session are not immediately visible after the treatment.
The cells that have been damaged by the cold will be gradually and naturally eliminated by the body. The final result of the intervention can be observed 2 to 3 months after the session but a thinning can already be observed after 3 weeks.
The results are permanent and long-lasting, as long as you continue to observe a balanced diet and practice regular physical activity.
Certain areas such as the arms or the saddlebags are more fibrous and sometimes require additional sessions to obtain optimal results.
The goal of this treatment is to bring about an improvement and not to achieve perfection. If your expectations remain realistic, the obtained result should give you utmost satisfaction.
