The light emitted is captured by the target cells and it causes them to be destroyed, which helps to act upon the vascular or pigment cells or to stimulate the synthesis of collagen without adversely affecting the other surrounding tissue. This technique has been becoming increasingly established in aesthetic treatments for a number of years now.
