DIAGNOSIS CENTER IN AESTHETIC DERMATOLOGY

The Diagnosis Center in Aesthetic Dermatology was created to answer major concerns of ours at present : how does one age while maintaining a young and healthy skin.
We know that when ageing epidermal structures change, the cutaneous layer modifies with deeper lines and a less fine texture (wrinkle formation). The collagen fibers deteriorate in the dermis; sebaceous glands produce less sebum (thus reducing hydration) and gravity draws soft tissues lower. A few factors contribute to this natural ageing process of the skin:

•        Hormonal factors : oestrogen is known to have a beneficial effect on the collagen production in the skin ; for this reason, menopaused women present with thin skin linked to a decrease of collagen. A lowering of hyaluronic acid content could be linked to the increase of skin dryness and epidermal thinning. For men, one finds similar changes, even though it is less pronounced. This is because their hormonal composition changes than that of women.

•        Environmental factors:  repeated sun exposure (cumulative effect since childhood), smoking, unbalanced eating and genetic factors can contribute to accelerating the process of skin ageing.

The result of all these factors is loose, non elastic skin, wrinkles and an irregular complexion. At the Diagnosis Center in Aesthetic Dermatology, Laclinic offers modern and precise technology in consultation with a specialist dermatologist, whose experience using cosmetic, aesthetic and personalised interventional treatments help prevent premature ageing.
