Look up to 10 years younger
FACELIFTS
A facelift is an operation which helps to reposition the face tissues after sagging due to the effects of age, muscular tension, exposure to the sun, etc. Facelifts are performed on both men and women from the age of forty-five onwards, when the signs of ageing start to appear.Temporal or cervico-facial facelifts, brow-lifts, mask-lifts, mini-lifts. soft-lifts, endoscopic facelifts, combined with lipostructure or a peeling… To get the best result, your surgeon will use various techniques, depending on the quality of your skin, the amount of sagging and the amount of skin and fat which will need to be removed. So the facelift can be either partial or more of a major operation, sometimes it can also involve work on the muscles, the fat, the eyelids or the forehead. Preoperative examinations are always carried out in order to pick up on any contra-indications. The operation lasts for two hours and is performed under local anaesthetic combined with the administration of a sedative. In some cases it may be performed under general anaesthetic and you will need to stay in the clinic for 24 to 48 hours.
Recovering after the operation
This is a simple matter and you will be able to get up on the first day; all your bandages will be removed the following day. An oedema (which is not painful) appears and it will take from 8 to 12 days for you to look presentable. You will be able to go back to your normal life approximately two weeks after your operation.
