Objectives of breast augmentation
Breast augmentation is a cosmetic surgery procedure that allows you to increase the volume of your breasts through the placement of silicone gel-filled implants.
Whether your breasts remained small after puberty or lost volume after pregnancy, weight loss, or hormonal changes, this mammary hypotrophy is often experienced as a complex.
Breast augmentation restores a contour that harmonizes with your figure and helps you fully embrace your femininity.
Who is BREAST AUGMENTATION for?
It is one of the most common cosmetic surgery procedures. Any adult patient, aged 18 or older, can benefit from this surgery, provided their request is realistic and their health condition is compatible with a surgical procedure.
Like any surgery, breast augmentation carries risks and possible complications. A first consultation with your surgeon is essential to determine if this procedure is right for you.
Your Journey at Laclinic-Montreux
Your breast augmentation must perfectly match your personal expectations and goals. At Laclinic-Montreux, your journey is structured around two consultations with your surgeon, complemented by an interview with your anesthetist, so that every decision is made with the time and clarity it deserves.
The first consultation
The first consultation lasts approximately one hour. Your surgeon listens to you, understands your expectations, and asks about the desired outcome. After a complete clinical examination, they present the options adapted to your morphology and figure.
Preoperative photographs are taken for your file. They will serve as a reference throughout your follow-up. Whenever possible, the Crisalix 3D simulation is performed during this first consultation.
The Crisalix 3D Simulation
The Crisalix 3D simulation offers you a first visualization of the possible result. It fuels the discussion with your surgeon and allows you to refine the shape and volume of the implants together.
You will receive your simulation by email. You can review it at home, revisit it at your leisure, and share it with your loved ones.
The Second Preoperative Consultation
This second meeting is an essential step in your journey. Your surgeon reviews with you the elements discussed during the first consultation: the volume and shape of the implants, their position, and the planned incision site.
This is also the time to express any final questions, concerns, or changes in your wishes. The choice of implants remains open until this appointment: if you wish to modify the volume, shape, or type of implant, you can discuss it calmly with your surgeon.
At the end of this consultation, your project is defined, with a clear and realistic vision of the expected result. If you are still hesitating between two sizes, you can take time to reflect and make your choice later, without any pressure.
The Interview with Your Anesthetist
A few days before the procedure, a telephone interview with your anesthetist is arranged to review your health status and answer your questions regarding anesthesia. If the anesthetist deems it necessary, they may prescribe additional tests or a preoperative assessment. An on-site consultation remains possible if you wish.
You will then meet your anesthetist on the morning of the procedure, before being taken to the operating room.

Motiva Breast Implants
The choice of implants is a crucial step in your project. At Laclinic-Montreux, we favor latest-generation implants, selected for their safety, reliability, and their ability to offer a natural and harmonious result.
We work with Motiva breast implants, which offer a wide range of shapes, sizes, and projections. Your surgeon chooses the implant best suited to your body type, tissue quality, proportions, and, most importantly, your expectations. The two ranges below are included in our all-inclusive price.
Safety, Certification, and Traceability
Motiva implants are approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the United States and bear the CE mark in Europe. They have undergone rigorous clinical trials to guarantee their long-term safety and reliability.
Each implant is identifiable and traceable thanks to its individual serial number. You receive an implant card that allows you to retrieve its characteristics at any time. A copy of this card is kept in your file at Laclinic.
The Motiva insertion device allows the implant to be placed through a reduced incision, 2 to 3 cm, which limits scar visibility and promotes recovery.
The breast augmentation procedure
Breast augmentation surgery will positively transform the harmony of your silhouette. Follow your surgeon’s recommendations to optimize the healing process and the quality of the result.
Anesthesia
Breast augmentation is performed under general anesthesia, on an outpatient basis. A telephone consultation with your anesthesiologist takes place a few days before the procedure, and you then meet them on the morning of the surgery.
At Laclinic-Montreux, pain management and your comfort are an integral part of the care.
The day of the procedure
Your surgeon adapts their surgical strategy to your case to obtain the best possible result. Depending on your body type and the desired outcome, the implant is placed under the muscle or under the gland. It is inserted through an incision located in the inframammary fold or around the areola.
At the end of the procedure, a modeling dressing is applied with an elastic bandage. The procedure lasts approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.
After the procedure
The post-operative period can sometimes be painful for the first few days, especially when implants are placed under the muscle. Appropriate pain medication will be prescribed. Edema, bruising, and discomfort when raising the arms are common initially.
It is recommended to wear the post-operative compression bra day and night for the first three weeks, then only during the day for the following three weeks.
Suture threads are generally placed deeply and are absorbable: no removal is necessary, unless specifically indicated.
You can shower the day after the procedure, unless there is a contraindication or specific instruction from the medical team.
Work can be resumed after five to ten days, and sports activities after approximately six weeks. Scars should not be exposed to the sun for one year.
Your post-operative follow-up is provided for twelve months from the date of the procedure.
The Result
The final result is appreciated after two to three months, once the breasts regain their suppleness and the implants stabilize.
The procedure increases breast volume and improves breast shape. Scars are usually very discreet. Beyond the silhouette, breast augmentation very often has a beneficial effect on self-confidence.
Barring significant weight fluctuations, the volume remains stable long-term. Like natural breasts, augmented breasts are subject to the effects of gravity and aging, depending on skin quality and implant volume. The goal of this surgery is to provide improvement, not to achieve perfection.

Around the surgery
The first consultation
The first appointment is essential to identify your needs and expectations. Our specialists will take all the necessary time to understand your demand and offer you the best advice.
Anesthesia
Sensitive to the potentially traumatic dimension of any operation, Laclinic's doctors pay close attention to pain management to make the operation as comfortable and safe as possible.
Associated treatments
This intervention is sometimes combined with a breast lipofilling , this intervention is then called “hybrid” or “composite” breast augmentation.
This technique is ideal for patients with little breast tissue, as injecting their own fat all around the implants helps conceal their contours and achieve an even more natural, harmonious result.
Breast augmentation with implants can also be combined with a breast lift in cases of breast ptosis.
Breast augmentation with lipofilling
Breast lipofilling is a liposculpture technique that increases breast volume without implants, combining liposuction (abdomen, hips, buttocks, thighs, for example) with reinjection of the harvested fat into the breasts.
