Aesthetic Injections Without Qualifications: Fabrice Pfulg’s Reminder on RTS

The judgment of an aesthetician in Vevey, prosecuted for injecting botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid without the required qualifications, has brought an essential issue back into the spotlight. For years, her procedures caused serious harm to several clients.

Invited to the Forum program (RTS), Fabrice Pfulg, Director of Laclinic and President of ACMES, summarized the issue in one sentence: in Switzerland, injecting is a medical procedure. Only a physician, or a person acting under their direct supervision, may perform it. This framework is not an administrative constraint—it protects patients against complications that can be severe.

“Injecting is a medical procedure.”
Fabrice Pfulg, Director Laclinic-Montreux and President of ACMES, Forum (RTS)

At Laclinic, this principle guides every procedure. All injections are performed by physicians, using approved products and with genuine follow-up care. This is the standard that Fabrice Pfulg also upholds as President of ACMES, for the entire profession.
