The surgeon reduces the excess skin and makes an areolar or vertical incision before repositioning the areola and nipple. It is sometimes necessary to use an inverted ‘T’ incision in the inframammary fold when the ptosis is significant. He then lifts the mammary gland and redrapes the skin around the mammary gland.<\/p>\n
